On Friday, November 14, the University of Georgia’s River Basin Center hosted their third annual poster contest, showcasing work on all things water resources.
Graduate students from across campus were invited to share their work at the Special Collections Library on UGA’s campus. Topics from the full range of water research were welcome, from policy to infrastructure to conservation.
For the third year running, a team of judges evaluated each poster during the event and awarded prizes to five students. We are proud to announce that four of these five students for the 2025 Confluence Poster Contest were IRIS affiliates.
Congratulations to the awardees:
1st Prize: Lina Caro, School of Environmental, Civil, Agricultural and Mechanical Engineering
2nd Prize: Kathryn Kahn, School of Environmental, Civil, Agricultural and Mechanical Engineering, & Taylor Faherty, Warnell School of Forestry & Natural Resources
3rd Prize: Shishir Rao, Odum School of Ecology, & Clare DeBerry, School of Environmental, Civil, Agricultural and Mechanical Engineering
The Institute for Resilient Infrastructure Systems works to promote important work for our planet and community and is a proud supporter of this event.
