Managing Director, IRIS
Virginia Bacon Talati is the Managing Director for the Institute for Resilient Infrastructure Systems at the University of Georgia. Prior to joining UGA, she was a study director with the Computer Science and Telecommunications Board at the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine in Washington, DC. Reports include Future of Emergency Alert and Warning Systems, A 21st Century Cyber-Physical Systems Education, A Review of Next Generation Air Transportation Systems, and Computing Research for Sustainability. She completed a Masters in Public Policy from George Mason University and a B.S. from Georgia Institute of Technology.
